Addisons was formed officially in 1993 renting shared office space above a café in downtown Ashburton.  By September 1996 after pushing out walls and extending into the neighbours office the team of 6 moved into Blackburn offices to be followed by the team of 12 moving to the East Burwood offices in 2000.

Founded on the basis of good Accounting requires caring for and communicating with its clients, Addisons took a key role in assisting business to implement MYOB Accounting Software and using it to its full potential.  This style of consulting led to a rapid development of the Accounting & Compliance business. 

MYOB consulting work continued to be a significant division of Addisons.  At one time it included 3 MYOB Certified Consultants, a team of bookkeepers and MYOB expert accountants.  Matthew, particularly, and Addisons generally continues to provide consulting and training services in MYOB and on behalf of MYOB to its many users.
